Private lending rates are higher than standard bank rates - typically ranging from 8% to 18%+ per annum depending on the risk profile, LVR, and loan term. The trade-off is speed, flexibility and access when banks are not an option.

Private lenders typically lend up to 65-75% LVR, though some will go higher with strong security or a compelling exit strategy. The property location and type will influence the maximum LVR.
